Our Saga

 

I believe we're at a hinge point. Turning from good times to hard times. I'm not saying life over the last 30-35 years hasn't been without problems, but life in America has been good. Yes, we've had a few recessions, terrorism, war and the pandemic, but all in all, life in America has been pretty good. I think that is coming to an end.

 

I don't believe we are a product of our circumstances. Circumstances do not create us, they reveal who we truly are. And while I believe circumstances are about to get really hard, I want to thrive - and help as many people as possible to thrive as well.

 

So what am I talking about? What constitutes 'hard times'. I think we're swinging from ease and abundance to widespread lack of basic necessities, lawlessness and violence. Disruptions of food supply, transportation, power, communications, and public safety systems - possibly the complete collapse of society. Think of a hinge that holds up a large gate. The hinge only swings a few inches. The opposite end of the gate moves a much larger distance and picks up momentum. Without something stopping the movement of that end of the gate, it will swing through its full range of motion. Depending where you are on the gate determines how far you move and what your range of experiences are. Depending on where you are in the country will determine how much of this you experience.
