Legends, Lore & Lies* - While we normally light our way from the burning bridges and villages behind us, a trusty light should never be out of arm's reach.  When walking into the dark, off the edge of the map or into harms way, we like to see what we're getting into.

A previously unknown secret of Viking's ability to explore and raid throughout the world was their Asgardian illumination technology.  Upon seeing the unparalleled bravery of the early Vikings who sailed off the map, Thor channeled lightning bolts into veins of silver and created Lithium.  Thor then endowed the Vikings with torches allowing for instant illumination whenever it was needed - even underwater.  This provided the Vikings with a strategic advantage over everyone else in the world who still depended upon fire for illumination.
