We love Sig Sauer handguns, especially the P365 series, but we also admit that Sig is confusing! The P365, P365X and P365XL have a Sig proprietary rail system. The Streamlight TLR7/TLR8 Sub "Sig" model is designed for those models.
It stands to reason that the TLR7/TLR8 "Sig" model is for all Sig P365 series, but this isn't the case. The P365X MACRO and TACOPS features a 1913 Picatinny rail which is compatible with the TLR7/TLR8 "1913" model. While the "Sig" model TLR7/TLR8 will technically fit onto the P365X MACRO 1913 rail, it's not a good fit and not the right choice for the MACRO. Additionally, no holster is going to fit because the 1913 TLR7/TLR8 should go with the 1913 rails and the Sig model TLR7/TLR8 should go with the Sig rail.
1913 Rail Keys
The Streamlight TLR-7/TLR-8 Sub, 1913 rail models, comes with five different rail keys so you can better fit it to your specific gun. It comes with the #3 key installed on the light. It will fit your P365X MACRO but it sticks out a little longer than it needs to.
Because of the thickness of the #3 rail key, the back of the light will not fit flush up against the trigger guard.
I prefer the #4 rail key as it allows the TLR-7 to fit snugly up against the trigger guard and still fits tightly on the rail.
Our holsters will fit whether you use the #3 or #4 rail key. If you’re having problems with it fitting your holster, check to see which rail key is installed on your TLR7/TLR8 Sub. I recommend the #4.
It can be confusing adding a Streamlight TLR7/TLR8 to your Sig P365X MACRO. If you're unsure what you have or what you need, don't hesitate to contact us and we'll help you get exactly what you need.
